SA Debate

A photo I shot of the Student Association presidential candidates debate that didn’t make it into the Daily Orange because I got there too late. That’s what happens when stuff is due on the sever for classes at 10 p.m. and the event you’re shooting ends after 8.
Pearl Jam Concert- Closing down the Spectrum

A fan waves his lighter in the air as Pearl Jam performs at the Wachovia Spectrum Arena on October 28, the band’s second of four Philadelphia concerts this month. Pearl Jam is the final band to perform in the Spectrum before it is torn down.

Eddie Vedder announces the score of game 2 of the Phillies vs. Yankees World Series game throughout band’s show, as they were both going on simultaneously.

These photos don’t do the show justice since I shot them from my seat, but I was definitely happy with where I was sitting. SO CLOSE! Best show ever. PJ keeps getting better and better.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… a flying pirate.

Entered a photo contest… please vote!
Hey everyone,
I just submitted four photos to the Press of Atlantic City’s photo contest (unfortunately just found out about it last night), and it ends tomorrow. Whoever has the most votes tomorrow will make it to the final round, so that means I need your votes! If you have time, please go to these links to view the images and vote! I think I will need at LEAST twenty votes to even be considered, so your vote would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!! :]

A couple more things from last week

http://riverdalepress.com/full.php?sid=9414
Justin Long, Drew Barrymore, and Christina Applegate were in Riverdale filming Going the Distance last week. I got to cover the assignment and get a taste of a real movie set (from across the street, of course), which was great since I’ve always wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes (outside of “Behind the Scenes” documentaries). Barrymore and Applegate didn’t appear while I was there, but I did get to meet some nice photographers (so-called paparazzi) in the process. It was an experience.
Also forgot to post my first Soundslides project from work: “Locals Overwhelmed By Van Cortlandt Stench.” It’s more humorous than beautifully shot, but it’s worth giving it a listen for sheer amusement.
Global Day of Action for Iran- New York City

Protesters marched from Times Square to the South African Mission, Iranian Mission, and the UN building, their intentions being the promotion of international human rights, the release of all political prisoners and prisoners of conscience, the end of state-sponsored violence, and freedom of assembly, expression, and press in Iran.

Green ribbons were handed out to participants, which is the color that donned by supporters of Mir-Hossein Mousavi during the 2009 Iranian presidential election.
